Announcing the new 3546LI charger, a next-generation high-quality, high-performance lithium-ion battery charger for up to 14 cells. The 3546LI uses a 3-stage charging profile with a microprocessor to optimise battery performance. The new charger is also capable of waking up deeply discharged batteries and soft-start charging with low current until voltage is normalized.
Alternative chargers that terminate the charge on reaching the battery’s threshold voltage can shorten charging time but will always leave some capacity unfilled. The 3546LI’s 3-stage charging first restores the full 4.2V battery voltage, and then applies the saturation charge needed to fill the battery completely. This ensures the longest possible battery run-time; charging finishes when the current falls to 100mA.
The 3546LI is well suited for a wide variety of applications. It is medically certified according to EN 60601-1 3ed andUL-approved too. It delivers optimized uptime and turnaround for a wide range of battery-powered equipment for healthcare, measurement and control, manufacturing, safety and Security and other industries.
This new trio with output from 16 to 42 Watt features universal input voltage and exchangeable AC and DC plugs for worldwide portable applications such as measuring, computing, telecom, and multimedia. All models are UL approved and medically certified according to EN 60601-1 3.rd edition, and in addition complies with the requirements in the ERP Eco design Directive.
There are 8 standard voltage versions with output ranging from 5-24 VDC, all offering short circuit and overvoltage protection. The units have a LED power status indicator. Custom units are available on request.
